Programme Coordinator

**The Programme Coordinator is a fixed term position responsible for the following key performance areas**:
- Assist the Programme Manager to manage and coordinate the implementation of the two programmes on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the Programme Implementation Plans.
- Assist the two Programme Managers and M&E Specialist to develop tools to ensure multi-directional referral pathways for successful linkages of programme beneficiaries to health, social support and livelihoods strengthening services.
- Support arrangement and implementation of capacity building processes for local partners as per Capacity Building Plans - liaise with and support training facilitators as required.
- Support Livelihood Strengthening Programme service providers and partners as required.
- Monitor service delivery and progress with programme deliverables of funded partners and local service providers.
- Conduct site visits to implementing facilities and partners to provide programme related support and capacity development as needed.
- Regularly update needs assessments and mitigation plans.
- Continuously engage with NACOSA service providers, partners, community members, government and other stakeholders creating a harmonious and efficient working relationship between all role players and the targeted communities aimed at attaining programme goals and processes.
- Support district based GBV awareness campaigns and provide support to GBV facilities and partners in local GBV awareness raising campaigns, community dialogues and advocating for change.
- Provide continuous quality assessment and improvement strategies regarding the delivery of programmes
- Compile regular programme reports detailing challenges, best practices and success and assist the Programme Specialist with development of reports to NACOSA Management and donor as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and agreed upon with Programme Managers and programme team and assist with all strategic information related to programmatic activities to inform programme improvements.
**Qualifications and experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences/Humanities/Public Health or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the NGO social development or health sectors, and preferably in the field of sexual and gender-based violence.
- Knowledge of national SGBV policies, SGBV programme design and implementation approaches, evidence-informed and rights-based programming for survivors of GBV, particularly for adolescent girls and young women.
- Project management experience and attainment of programme goals and targets, including programme planning, implementation, management, and M&E.
- Well established community/stakeholder relationship building track record/ability to network and navigate communities.
- Experience of working in limited-resource settings, preferably in the local areas.
- Experienced in writing insightful and user-friendly reports.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems
- Understanding of the NGO sector and knowledge of big donor processes/requirements will be a benefit.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in operational activities in local and provincial government structures
- Valid drivers’ license non-negotiable and willingness to travel extensively.

- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities and programmes
- Strong work ethic - must be a self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision.
- Results-oriented, professional, and accountable.
- Following a proactive, positive, and developmental approach.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, including the ability to guide implementers on the programme. A second indigenous language will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to network with more than one programme manager and a host of partners and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work as a team member with multi-disciplinary teams, and to coordinate multiple inputs to tight deadlines, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
