**What will you do?**

Company Broker Solutions has a Head Technical Marketing and Underwriting Communications role available. The role reports to the Chief Underwriting Officer, Company Broker Solutions.

**What will make you successful in this role?**

To showcase the key selling and unique features of Company Broker Solutions in a manner that improves sales and profitable growth. To assist brokers in objection handling of any kind including developing competitor product analyses and comparison tools. To ensure that all communications are of the highest quality, professional and easy to understand by our target audiences. This specifically includes underwriting circulars and media messaging.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:
Responsible for extracting key selling and unique features of our product, underwriting and service (operation and claims) functions across our lines of business.

Extract and analyze underwriting information to produce technical insights to showcase to our brokers and clients. This includes:

- Reporting
- Analyses
- Positioning of message
- Perform competitor product comparisons and produce documentation that assist our quoting and sales staff in a manner the improves conversion and retention
- Assist in writing and producing SBS Underwriting media articles as required
- Ensure that underwriting circulars are easy to understand, professional and meet all our CI (corporate image) requirements
- Assist in developing the companies Underwriting marketing and communication plan to ensure that our message lands in all instances. This includes consideration of various ways of communicating:

- Written
- Presentation
- Digital
- Responsible to ensure that the companies Underwriting intranet site remains relevant, is up to date, easy to navigate, with correct versioning control
- Responsibility to ensure Underwriting content is produced, written well and uploaded to the relevant company’s internal publications these include:

- Intranet (SharePoint)
- Staff App (WordPress)
- Underwriting training curriculum
- Broker portal
- Liaise with claims, operations, Company experience team and others to

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree - applicable major preferred (Actuarial/Statistics/Applied Maths).
- Minimum of 10 years strong Data Analysis & Management experience is required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in insurance products, systems and data management.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience operating at a management level.
- Insurance-related qualifications, such as AIISA/FIISA, recommended but not required.
- Post graduate degree in computational science, e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, Data Science recommended
- Experience in leading and managing a team of specialists
- Experience working with client administration systems and data warehousing
- Strong commercial acumen and experience with change management and / or organizational change process
- Knowledge of:

- Short-term insurance industry knowledge
- Underwriting and financial concepts
- Knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines pricing and underwriting systems
