Our large coal and heavy minerals mining client is currently recruiting for a Mine Overseer to assist Manager with day-to-day management of the mine in area of responsibility.

Contract duration is 12 months

Location: Kriel

**Duties**:

- Responsible for the managing and directing of various activities within a specified section of the mine.
- To ensure specified targets are met and allocated resources are used effectively

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate Competency Mine Overseer ( Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate Blasting For Fiery Mines ( Essential/Minimum )
- N Dip: Mining Engineering ( Essential/Minimum )
- Certificate First Line Management ( Essential/Minimum )
- Trade: Miner Underground MQA/QCTO Accred ( Essential/Minimum )
- B Tech Mining ( Recommended/Desirable )
- BEng Mining Engineering ( Recommended/Desirable)

**Experience**:

- 5 years Relevant experience within a heavy industry, mining or production environment of which at least 2 years specific exposure as Production Foreman or Shift Leader is recommended
- 5 years Drilling and Blasting
