Durban, South Africa M4PS (Pty) Ltd Full time

The Warehouse Technician performs a variety of duties and tasks related to the receipt, checking, distribution and preparation of paperwork (such as Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists per truck after the unpacking of container and break-bulk cargo).

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting and monitoring with the offloading of cargo from the vessel with the appointed freight forwarder or warehouse
- Counterchecking the quantity of the goods received from the vessel and reporting of damages or lost from the vessel
- Countercheck the goods receiving list from the vessel.
- Monitor the safe loading of cargo onto the truck in port
- Monitor the unpacking of containers in the warehouse and report on their efficiency
- Monitor the loading efficiency of trucks in the bond warehouse and ensure that the logistics vendor adheres to SLAs
- Ensure adherence to safety precautions and recognizing/elimination of hazards
- Carry out special projects

**Requirements**:

- Ideally a logistics qualification
- Three (3) years of related working experience.
- Technical and functional proficiency in material & logistics knowledge, geography of Sub Sahara Africa, shipping methods, material handling equipment, import export procedures and the exposure to a variety of processes (mining industry, maintenance, mobile equipment)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: R17,000.00 per month
