An opportunity has become available for a confident, energetic and resilient Merchandise Planner within Outdoor Ladies and Kids Footwear who can think laterally and who has the strong analytical, logical reasoning and numerical abilities required to oversee the merchandise planning for the applicable portfolio in adherence to the Cape Union Mart Group standards.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Achieve turnover, gross profit budgets, stock budgets and related KPI’s
Deliver and implement post seasonal analysis, strategic planning, range & assortment planning
Accurately and continuously budgeting and forecasting in order to achieve sales plan and maximize profitability
Accurately and continuously forecasting inflows to achieve sales plans, departmental growth and profitability
Executing and managing project plans to achieve the agreed objectives
Supporting and guiding team members with regards to efficient administration as well as the accurate allocation of stock to ensure that the right stock gets to the right store by the right time
Liaising with stores, suppliers, customers shipping and marketing
Use KPI’s to drive buying and marketing decisions
Responsible for the growth and development of assigned allocator
Dead stock management
**Experience & Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years working experience as a Retail/Merchandise/Product Planner within a portfolio dealing with sizes is required (Footwear planning experience advantageous)
- Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification is an important pre-requisite
- Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced excel experience is essential
- Working knowledge and experience with Merchandise planning and reporting systems is required
- Experience in planning Footwear or Clothing is advantageous
