TLB Operator

**Job Purpose**:
To operate a Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) safely and efficiently on construction, civil, and site projects, ensuring work is completed according to project requirements, safety standards, and timelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate a TLB to perform excavation, trenching, loading, backfilling, and general earthmoving tasks.
- Carry out daily inspections of the TLB to ensure it is in safe and good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance checks (oil, water, tyres, hydraulics) and report any faults or repairs needed.
- Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and instructions to complete allocated work.
- Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked, fuel usage, and daily activity reports.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and other operators to complete tasks.
- Operate the machine in confined spaces and around other workers safely.
- Adhere to site policies, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum of **5 years’ proven experience** operating a TLB on construction or civil projects.
- Valid **TLB Operator Certificate** and license.
- Knowledge of construction and site safety procedures.
- Ability to operate machinery with precision and care.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Physically fit and able to work long hours in varying site conditions.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: R55,00 - R68,00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
