Boilermaker/welder

**Job Advert Summary**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 coupled with a recognized trade test as a Boilermaker/Welder
- 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in Boiler making/Welding environment.
- A valid Code B Driver ‘s license and the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.
- Experience in using a variety of welding equipment and procedures such as TIG, MMA etc. is essential.

**Primary Duties**:

- Carry out installation/assembling of plant and equipment by using welding equipment.
- Developing and fabrication of plant equipment using innovative ideas and improved efficiency.
- Developing, profiling, fabrication, assembling, servicing and installing of plant and equipment.
- Receiving job cards and planning of job by ensuring that the correct material is obtained from Stores.
- Measuring and cutting of material to precision measurements using the available plant and equipment.
- General Housekeeping

- Welding/Boiler making processes, procedures and techniques.
- X-ray welding/Coded welding
