Sales Consultant

**Main Purpose of Role**
To serve in a sales & services role within the business.
Attend to walk in customers wrt. new sales & existing.
Receive inbound calls from clients in order to service.
Make outbound calls, wrt. service & verification.
Follow up with clients, DC's & creditors.
**Skills Required**:
1. Basic computer skills.
2. Strong telephone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
3. Good sales, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to interact with customers using appropriate language to identify issues and provide a service.
5. Able to identify customer challenges and provide solutions that address problems/requirements.
6. Good multi-tasking skills.
7. Must be coachable.
8. Good objection handling skills & target driven.
9. Strong sales abilities.
**Key Performance Areas**
1. Meeting sales & revenue targets is a requirement.
2. Meeting collections targets is a requirement.
3. Manage calls in a timely manner.
4. It is part of the tasks of a sales representative to upsell/cross sell products and services to clients.
5. Ensure there is a sales flow in all calls, script adherence.
6. Script adherence when verifying - compliance.
7. Must be able to accept ownership for effectively solving client issues, complaints and inquiries; keeping client satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.
8. Research required information using available resources - eg. credit check & fact finding, in order to establish most suitable product for the client.
9. Ensure correct data is captured on the CRM
10. Ensure all respective documents are uploaded to the system. (Mandates, Agreements, FICA, etc)
11. Ensure files are created for day the sale is closed.
12. Ensure respective clients allocated are updated accordingly.
13. It is a prerequisite to know how to objection handle effectively in order to save sales.
14. Maintain call quality standards per process mandated by the company.
15. Maintain a courteous and friendly disposition when interacting with clients irrespective of their temperament or mood.
16. Build a positive relationship with clients to enhance the image and public perception of the company.
17. Ensure accurate data is captured on system, recording details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
18. Monitor trends in client behavior and inform management in event of any unusual activity.
19. Ensure equipment and devices are operational by following set procedures and notifying the team manager in event of a breakdown.
20. Maintain good attendance at all times.
21. Ad hoc duties.
