**Job Advert Summary**:
Macsteel Roofing - Gauteng is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and hardworking employee to join our dynamic operations team to ensure efficient and effective production of goods and services of the right quality, quantity and cost according to agreed timelines and customer’s specification and ensure efficient and effective management of the Warehouse activities and stock levels for the Roofing Division at Mac City.
**Minimum Requirements**:
Minimum 8 years’ operational and supervisory experience in a Roofing / Production environment is essential
Successful applicant must be able to provide a career record to evaluate suitability for vacant position.
Good interpersonal skills (team work)
Ability to ensure optimum quality control and statistical process control.
Willingness to work overtime, as well as shift work as required.
Applicant are required to undergo and entry medical examination.
Intermediate proficient levels in SAP and other in-house systems
Excellent Communication Skills
Excellent Administration Skills
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
To oversee the roofing production process ensuring the right quality and quantity levels are maintained according to agreed timelines and specifications.
Ensure safety files and safety inductions is in place.
Responsible for optimal machine loading, ensuring optimal throughput.
Manage subcontractors, stock and material related to specific installation projects
Monitor and ensure effective equipment utilisation, efficiencies, yield and reliability.
Ensure pre-planning of production and availability of consumables and material.
Ensure the correct material and orders are correctly allocated to the appropriate production line to improve output.
Produce high quality and high-volume products as per industry standards and customer specifications.
Maintaining a sound employer/employee relationship.
Take accountability for the implementation and communication of SHEQ policies and procedures.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities.
Manage the execution of breakdowns and the preventative maintenance schedules.
Ensure all daily production targets are met and all recorded accurately.
Maintain quality control standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
Check Production output according to specifications
Identify damaged and/or defect material.
Manage and oversee all inventory control processes in line with the organizational policies and procedures
Manage full warehousing operations
Participate in stock takes
Maintain good housekeeping.
