**Monthly Basic Salary (Market related)**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
***
- **Performs preventative maintenance activities per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.**
***:

- **Able to make use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.**
***:

- **Able to test current and voltage in a safe manner.**
***:

- **Repair and /or replace damaged parts on generators.**
***:

- **Service generators with oil changes.**
***:

- **Sustain and high degree of care and awareness to prevent injuries to yourself and others.**
***:

- **Perform electrical troubleshooting and understand relay logic.**
***:

- **Knowledge of AC/DC power systems.**
***:

- **Willing to live and travel in an austere environment to system sites.**
***:

- **Diligence and ability to operate a computer and fill out reports as required.**
***

**Qualifications**:
***
- **Must have satisfactory driving record with the ability to obtain a fit for work medical certification and pass the company vetting requirements.**
***:

- **A technical qualification and trade tested or equivalent.**
***:

- **2-5 years of years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of generator systems from 8kW to 1MW preferred.**
***:

- **Must demonstrate technical knowledge of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures.**
***:

- **Ability to understand and write written guidelines and procedures, electrical drawings.**
***:

- **Must be able to work well under pressure or within deadlines.**
***:

- **Must be able to travel 80-90% of the time in an assigned region, and/or work overtime, weekends, or holidays, sometimes on short notice.**
***:

- **Know and follow all Company safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.**
***:

- **Must be able to travel, in company service vehicle, throughout the region.**
***

**Essential Requirements**:
***
- **Drivers licence**
***:

- **Trade Certificate - Diesel Electrical**
***:

- **Travel to the following areas, but not limited to - East London, Queenstown, King Williams Town, Umtata and surrounding areas,**
***:

- **Have a clear criminal record**
***:

- **Must have relevant experience**
***
