To develop and execute marketing and internal communication strategies, campaigns and related activities of AGSA across variety of channels to help enhance the AGSA brand and its objectives as well as improve employee engagement/experience.
Reporting to the business unit leader, the incumbent will plan and execute a wide variety of internal communications activities, and work closely with internal departments/business units.
Strategic function
Provide strategic inputs to the strategy of the business unit (BU) and manage the output of the centre to ensure implementation of the BU balance score card (BSC) initiatives.
Develop and implement an organisation wide internal communication strategy that meets organisational objectives and aligns with AGSA business strategy.
Develop, manage and implement a design strategy and creative approach for the organisation in a seamless manner.
Act as a custodian of the AGSA brand.
Product management
Develop and deliver an integrated marketing communication strategy and plan that enhances brand equity, supports the AGSA in achieving its objectives (vision and values) and that promotes employee engagement.
Responsible for developing and managing internal communication channels and be the lead contact on internal communication and marketing.
Develop and implement innovative marketing collateral to effectively market the AGSA products and services to various stakeholders.
Formulate innovative strategies and campaigns to support the delivery of the AGSA products based on internal needs/departmental needs.
Working with content development, identify product content needs for differentiated stakeholders.
Develop integrated marketing campaigns that are targeted for specific audiences such as graduates or entry level professionals, so as to drive employee engagement.
Identify trends in products for learner and graduate engagements, events and promotional activities
Lead in exhibition creatives and products for the audience
Partner with the internal stakeholders at executive level in promoting the AGSA brand presence and ensure collaboration.
Manage and monitor the AGSA’s internal communication programme to ensure that all internal stakeholders are informed of organisational news, issues and direction and have mechanisms for providing feedback to management.
Play a leading role in redeveloping and improving the intranet as a key internal communications tool.
Enhance current and seek new digital platforms to encourage and improve employee engagements.
Stakeholder management
Scan the environment to ensure a clear understanding of internal stakeholder needs.
Create strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders to enhance product development and conduct continuous and regular environmental scanning to enhance products and AGSA value proposition.
Design an internal employee engagements model to enable the organisation to effectively communicate with all internal stakeholders.
Proactively come up with initiatives for employee engagements to actively advise on communications issues.
Establish and maintain relationships with provincial offices in order to support the development of inclusive internal communications programmes, ensuring consistency with the central internal communications strategy through i.e. Comms champions.
People management
Cascade the business unit balanced scorecard at centre level.
Provide leadership and direction for the centre and manage team performance to drive productivity.
Motivate, coach and mentor staff to ensure maximum productivity and development of the staff to their full potential.
Determine the mix and level of capability required to enable the centre to support BU and organisational objectives.
Contribute to transformation/culture plans.
Financial management and operational management
Compile the centre budget and contribute to the development of the business unit’s budget.
Manage the centre expenditure.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.
Manage supply chain processes.
Contribute to the risk assessment activities in the BU.
Other responsibilities (applicable to all JD’s)

Perform and/or manage other projects, tasks and assignments not stipulated on the Job description as and when required.
Education

Relevant degree in marketing or communication with marketing specialisation.
Knowledge
Marketing and promotion value chain.
In-depth understanding organisational and service marketing, including internal communication.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years marketing and internal communication experience.
Proven track record with marketing and internal communication.
Marketing officer in managerial position.
Extensive experience of marketing and internal communication in both private and/or public sector organisations.
