Farm Manager

We are an established family business in the Swellendam area looking for a proactive, hands-on, and dynamic **Farm Manager** with strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. **Responsibilities include**:

- Overall management of maize and vegetable production
- Effective management of pivots, labor, and irrigation
- Operation of agricultural machinery such as tractors, sprayers, and harvesters
- Efficient cost management and resource utilization
- Human resource management, including staff training and development
- Quality control, record keeping, and documentation
- Practical maintenance of equipment and infrastructure
- Basic office administration such as stock, orders, and simple reporting
- Weekly reporting to the CEO
- Other related duties as required

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Excellent proficiency in Afrikaans (both spoken and written) is essential
- Matric (a tertiary qualification in Agriculture will be an advantage)
- Proven experience in irrigation management and maintenance
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
- Emotional maturity and the ability to handle conflict professionally
- Must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Basic computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong planning and organizational abilities
- Valid driver’s license with PrDP
- Reliable, hardworking, and honest work ethic

**Salary**:
Market-related and negotiable depending on qualifications, experience, and skill.
