SALES MANAGER

A well-established Chemical Company requires an experienced Sales Manager to fulfill the role for a period of 6 months with a possibility to become permanent

**Requirements**:

- Drivers Licence
- Grade 12
- 5-10 Years experience as a Sales Manager
- Degree in business administration
- Advance Computer and Excel skills
- Strong Leadership skills
- Responsible for managing the sales team
- Obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development
- Creating a business plan covering sales, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort
- Meeting agreed targets, sales promotion programmes and plans
- Promoting the organizations presence throughout
- Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible
- Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the guidelines of the companies standards
- Responsible for the planning, direction, organization and control of sales representatives and telesales team to accomplish specific objectives
- Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communication involving sales reports, monthly sales meetings
- Plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team
- Personally observe the performance of sales representatives in the field on a regular basis
- Provide high standards of ongoing training for the sales representatives so that they possess sufficient knowledge to present information on the company’s products in an accurate and balanced manner

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Blackheath, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
