Finance Lead

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**
Responsible for managing the financial health of the Company to promote success and growth while maintaining legal financial practices.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Continuously identify (internal) and commercial (external) opportunities to drive business value.
2. Compile financial reports, leads the month-end closing process and conducts monthly financial forecast.
3. Analyse industry trends to assess the financial health of the company and the feasibility of new and existing commercial opportunities.
4. Make estimates of funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization.
5. Act as a custodian and facilitates the budgeting and business planning process for the division.
6. Keep financial records and management accounts up to date
7. Prepare general ledger postings and statements.
8. Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
9. Oversee accounts receivables and accounts payables.
10. Ensure payroll and PAYE data is accurately and timeously paid.
11. Ensures accurate, timeous, and relevant financial reporting on an ongoing basis.
12. Participate in the creation and reviewing of finance policies.
13. Ensure appropriate internal financial controls, to safeguard the information, integrity, and assets of the business.
14. Assist the process of evaluating cost control measures to continuously drive business efficiency and competitiveness.
15. Reviews collections reports to determine the status of collections and the amounts of outstanding balances.
16. Responsible for the management of all company tax matters.
17. Oversee payments and preparation of accounting statements
18. Prepares financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, and boards of directors.
19. Oversee procurement processes and ensure legal compliance of goods and services, in line with contractual conditions and legislative requirements.
20. Provide effective leadership and management to the finance, Procurement and Office Admin team.
21. Coach, mentor, and handle performance management of staff.
**MININUM CRITERIA**
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- Business related post-graduate qualification At least 5-6 years Finance managerial experience.
- At least 5 years’ solid experience in finance management role.
- Strong Computer literacy with advanced Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook Skills.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Corporate governance, Tax.
- Knowledge of Accounting and Payroll systems.
- Strong Accounting and Reconciliation knowledge.
- Knowledge of risk management processes.
- Knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Knowledge of tendering and Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
