Technical General Worker

A vacancy currently exists for a Technical general worker at Groenkloof National Park in the Facilities Department.

**Location**:
GROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE)

**Requirements**:

- General technical maintenance and upkeep of the building.
- To inspect, install, and repair pipes and fixtures that carry water into the building
- To maintain plumbing fixtures like bathtubs, showers, and toilets
- To diagnose and troubleshoot issues such as leaks, clog,s or malfunctioning of the sewer system
- To measure the surface, cut and install tiles on floors, wall,s and other surfaces
- Assist with ad-hoc work as per the supervisor’s instructions
- To install dry walls, doorframes, doors, and other building framework

**Responsibilities**:

- Grade 12 (Std 10).
- Code EB(Code 8) driver’s license.
- 1 - 3 years experience as a technical general worker.
- A trade test certificate in plumbing will be added as an advantage
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Safety orientated, good knowledge of safe work procedures.

**Please Note**:
The remuneration package includes a basic salary, based on the salary scale of a position with a Paterson B1 grade and allowances and benefits as specified in the HR Tariff Document and Conditions of Services of SANParks.

**The appointment will be in accordance with EE plan targets.**

R 118,689.96 - R 160,846.56
