**Key performance areas**:

- Monitor and ensure compliance with building rules and regulations on residential construction sites in the estate (new buildings and major alterations)
- Ensure compliance with building plans
- Do site handovers and regular site inspections
- Address non-compliance with rules in a tactful and professional manner
- Pro-actively identify and address problems and issues
- Ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping and reporting

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Matric certificate and a tertiary qualification in one or more of the following building disciplines: civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, building management, construction, building surveying, quantity surveying, or other relevant field
- At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role working with building plans of residential homes
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- Tactful, professional, calm, firm and composed under pressure
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Valid driver’s licence and clean criminal record
