Property Equity Research Analyst

**Overview**:
Our client, an award-winning Asset Manager is seeking to hire a Property Equity Research Analyst. This is a property sector specific role with a view to support Portfolio Managers on two specific property funds and provide property insights and investment recommendations for the broader range of portfolios. This is an opportunity to grow within the company into a Portfolio Management position.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct in-depth market, sector and company research in order to evaluate and identify sound and viable investment opportunities
- Analyse company annual financial reports and statements to build financial models and make projections of financial statements that would be used in determining the value of the business and assessing the competitive landscape of the industry
- Simplify dense and complex financial data
- Update existing valuation models
- Provide investment recommendations to Portfolio Managers
- Provide input into investment strategies
- Meet and interview Managers and Executives and attend Annual General Meetings
- Monitor and track market and company performance
- Generate reports
- Maintain centralized research database
**Requirements**:
- Postgraduate Degree in Investment Management/Finance/CFA/CA or part CFA/CA or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience as an Equity Research Analyst working in a Fund Management or Asset Management company, or with a Stockbroker
- Alternatively, a CA with 1-2 years Transactional Services, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Credit experience
- Experience with valuations, due diligence, financial modelling or similar

- Advanced computer literacy including Excel and PowerPoint
- Report writing skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to conduct presentations
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong problem solving ability

- Proactive and ability to work independently
- Driven and self-motivated
