Head of Planning

Purpose:
Plan and Implement appropriate strategies in accordance with trends identified in the market as per client requirements.

Essential Duties & responsibilities

1. Assist in monitoring all department budgets, manage all inventories on quarterly basis and assist all team members to manage all production schedules.

2. Manage inventory level for all components and finished products and ensure compliance to all business requirements.

3. Manage and control all work flow for projects and maintain an efficient inventory level of all safety stock by reviewing all volume requirements for all production materials.

4. Assist all new product development and improvement in all existing products and ensure optimal inventory level at all times.

5. Facilitate and provide data to prepare all sales forecasts and implement all new products and processes

6. Assist in obtaining and managing all orders and deliveries for all external processes

7. Prepare reports to be presented to management 8. Manage demand and supply of all materials.

9. Collaborate with all stakeholders to monitor all supply chain activities and resolve all availability issues.

10. Prepare reports for all planning activity metrics, analyze all results to recommend required improvements in performance and collaborate with Material Manager to forecast all required strategies.

11. Evaluate and prepare forecast all policy changes and recommend appropriate business requirements.

12. Participate in all evaluation meetings on weekly and monthly basis.

13. Maintain optimal level of performance within required budget and ensure compliance to all standard projects.

14. Train all subordinates of planning team on various systems.

15. Oversee production planning and management activities within the organization.

16. Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.

17. Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.

18. Notify customers on any delays and outages.

19. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.

20. Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.

21. Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.

22. Any other activities that may be required from time to time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R65,000.00 - R80,000.00 per month

- Paarden Eiland, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- Senior Planner: 8 years (required)
