Automotive Electrician

**Job Summary**:
HJM Offroad Johannesburg - is looking for a **Automotive Mechanic & Electrician** with solid experience working on 4x4 vehicles. This dual-skilled role involves **mechanical servicing**, **electrical installations**, and **fitment of aftermarket accessories** including suspension systems, lighting, dual battery setups, and more.

You will work on a wide range of off-road vehicles, performing both mechanical upgrades and 12V electrical installations, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**:Mechanical:

- Perform mechanical repairs, services, and upgrades on 4x4 vehicles.
- Fit aftermarket accessories such as:

- Suspension kits (e.g. EFS Suspension)
- Snorkels, bull bars, tow bars, rock sliders
- Roof racks, side steps, recovery gear
- Fridge slides, seat covers, drawer systems
- Conduct full vehicle checks and diagnostics.

Electrical:

- Install and wire 12V/24V electrical accessories, including:

- Dual battery systems
- Inverters, DC-DC chargers, solar systems
- LED spotlights, light bars, and work lights
- Electric side steps and central locking systems
- Power sockets, USB ports, fridge connections
- Perform diagnostics and fault finding on vehicle wiring and accessory systems.
- Ensure clean, safe, and reliable wiring installations following best practices.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in both mechanical and auto-electrical roles.
- Strong understanding of 4x4 vehicle systems and off-road modifications.
- Familiarity with accessory brands like EFS, National Luna, Front Runner, Safari, Hamer, Powerbrake, etc.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.

**Advantages**:
