Our client which expertise's cover the development of biomethane projects for both the small scale rural/household, as well as large commercial scale projects is currently looking to hire a Construction Project Manager on a contract basis.**Purpose of the Role**
- Plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- You will be responsible for the organization and implementation of the projects.
- Overseeing and directing the project from procurement to completion
- Administration of construction contracts
- Draughting and managing the project detailed time schedule
- Controlling project costs
- Overseeing all onsite and offsite construction activities

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing construction projects from the procurement stage to completion according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established schedules
- Provide input into contracts and motivating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and service providers
- Effectively communicate with any consultants, suppliers, contractors, service providers, subordinates and others involved in the project
- Develop and implement project quality systems
- Prepare progress reports and issuing progress schedules to management
- Through the site manager, manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring contractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
- Through the site manager, promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
- Oversee all onsite and offsite construction activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Ensure that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
- Perform change order estimating and management in change order negotiations.
- Develop and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
- Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with management, contractors and their representatives, and other stakeholders to inform them of progress on the project

**Minimum experience & qualifications required**
- Bachelors degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
- Proven working experience in construction projects management
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Good working knowledge of FIDIC suite of contracts
- Expert knowledge of construction rules, regulations and quality standards
- Excellent knowledge of project controls
- Familiarity with MS Project software package
