Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
In a butchery, the manager fulfills the following specific roles:

- Production Manager
- Receiving Manager
- Dispatch Manager
- HACCP/ ISO2200 officer
- QC (in the absence of the official store QC; meaning, whenever the QC is not there, this falls under your direct responsibilities)
- HR Manager (on behalf of the HR department)
- Operational Unit Manager responsible for forecasts, budgets, and reports)
- Safety Officer (as far as ensuring a safe work environment).
- Maintenance Manager
- In the sense that you are not expected to do this physical work of repairs, maintenance and services but you are responsible for scheduling, managing and overseeing this.
- Procurement Manager
- NPD Manager
- In terms of contributing with innovations and products to satisfy client demands hand in glove with your line manager.
- This can never take more than an hour or two a week and if it will be more involved than this, line manager approval must be sought.
- Training officer in terms of staff training on equipment.
- No staff can operate any equipment that did not receive proper training and did not sign a document confirming that the training took place and that he/ she demonstrated proficiency in operating these in a formal evaluation.
- Where meat processing equipment may be of a highly technical nature and where you may not have the skill yourself to handle the equipment, training with the supplier must be scheduled at which time it is expected for you to receive the same training as the machine operator to enable you to assist in the future.

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R33,000.00 per month

- Randburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
