Warehouse Inventory and Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory and Accounting Clerk with experience in Sage Pastel to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory within the warehouse, capturing invoices in our accounting system, and consolidating the financial records. Your expertise in Sage Pastel will be crucial for ensuring efficient and accurate financial management for our company.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:Receive and process incoming orders, verifying accuracy of shipments and documentation.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including conducting periodic physical counts and reconciliations.
Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of stock.
Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Monitor stock movement and identify discrepancies or potential issues, escalating to management as necessary.

Accounting & Invoicing:Capture and process invoices using Sage Pastel accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all data.
Verify invoices against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies and obtaining appropriate approvals.
Generate and distribute customer invoices, following up on outstanding payments as necessary.
Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Financial Record Consolidation:Reconcile and consolidate financial records, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
Identify and investigate discrepancies, making necessary adjustments or seeking clarification as required.
Collaborate with the finance team to support the annual audit process.

Qualifications & Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse inventory management and accounting, preferably with experience in Sage Pastel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with strong data entry and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applicable regulations.
