**Job Description**:
**Commercial/Specialty Insurance Broker (AA)**

**Area**: Sandton, Gauteng

**Package**: R50000 CTC P/M

**Purpose of the position**: To deliver an efficient client service relating to the Broking process; from quoting stage to policy updates, renewals and cancellations as well as contribute to advice given to clients and the rest of the business. To provide guidance to Junior Brokers and also support the Account Executives and Claims teams

**Duties**:
Contribute ideas to operational and process efficiencies to facilitate service delivery

Work within agreed service levels

Ensure adherence to procedures and processes

Handle insurer queries

Build and maintain relationships with insurers and relevant stakeholders

Support AEs and Claims to handle client queries where needed

Maintain control over all deliverables and deadlines to the benefit of clients

Liaise with the insurers on behalf of the Account Executives

Ensure data integrity and recording (save information in a central location for all to access, etc.)

Agree a placement that meets the client’s specific requirements as far as possible (e.g. mining extensions/industry specific requirements)

Find a creative solution to a complex broking problem

Follow peer review process on work produced, discuss with colleague where needed and escalate key issues to the Broking Manager

Explain cover options and outcomes to Account Executives and client where needed

Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements (Fit & Proper)

Mitigate any possible Professional Indemnity exposure

Request and attend regular product training

Step in for AEs on client interactions as needed and become an integral part of sustaining the client relationship

Communicate regularly with the client, service providers and insurers, Account Executives, Finance and any other relevant stakeholders

**Qualifications and Experience**

RE5

NQF Level 4 Short Term Insurance (Non-Life) 120 credits

Degree preferred

Required Experience (relevant or in a similar role)

10 years non-Life corporate broking experience

At least 5 years’ experience in property, casualty etc.
