Our client, a farm in Modimolle in Limpopo is looking for a Maintenance Manager. Work times are 07:00 - 17:00 - 6 days a week. Subject to Farm Requirements.

Weekend Duties are expected on a rotational basis.

You will be expected to work over time, as and when directed by management when required to meet deadlines of operational importance.

**Duties & Responsibilities include, but is not limited to**:

- Maintenance of the Facility, equipment, buildings, and related infrastructure and assets.
- Leading Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry tasks within the team.
- Assisting other maintenance staff and supervising contractors where required.
- Training and mentoring maintenance staff.
- Conducting general and technical checks as directed.
- Completing technical checklists.
- Conducting general equipment and building inspections on all farm assets and buildings as directed.
- Workshop administration, job cards, tool, and equipment sign out/in, documenting the use of consumables, spares, and tools.
- Monitoring inventory and re-stocking parts/tools/consumables, following workshop protocol.
- Logging /receiving job cards, assessing task requirements, spares procurement, task completion, and ensuring the appropriate standard is maintained.
- Keeping track of team or individual job progress and informing Management of the status of jobs and further requirements.
- Supporting and training Maintenance Team members, to empower them as strong individual maintainers with wide skills set as required by the Facility.
- Practical plumbing, painting and decorating, cement-works, building, paving, carpentry, mechanical repairs/installations/servicing, electrical repairs/replacements as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Ensure that Health, Safety and Environment requirements are adhered to.
- Oversee the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and checklists for machinery.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities.
- Ensure that machinery and/ or equipment are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required.
- Schedule and oversee Property ,Plant and Equipment duties according to best practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven applicable managerial experience
- Plant and/or operational management of assets will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 to 10 years’ proven experience in the maintenance and mechanical industry
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Drivers license

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Modimolle, Limpopo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- general plumbing: 3 years (required)
- general electrical: 3 years (required)
- team leader: 3 years (required)
- Standard Operating Procedures: 3 years (preferred)
- Epoxy flooring maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
- High Voltage (500kVA) Generator maintenance: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- English fluently (required)

License/Certification:

- Drivers' License (required)
