My client, a provider of high quality pest and disease diagnostic services is seeking a Diagnostician to join their team. In this role you will run the diagnostic centre and provide line management supervision to 3 Technical Assistants.
- SACNASP registration required

Experience in the following skills is required:

- Molecular pest and pathogen diagnostic techniques
- Application of traditional plant pathology techniques for the identification of plant pathogens
- Identification of oomycete pathogens
- Counting and identification of plant parasitic nematodes, specifically the citrus nematode

You will
- Collaborate with relevant experts to optimise and implement conventional and molecular diagnostic protocols for pest and disease identification.
- Provide research support to Plant Pathologists.
- Coordinate contract research conducted by the diagnostic centre.
- Conduct and/or supervise the required diagnostic services required for the company, growers and researchers
