Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by walking the floor regularly to establish and monitor security procedures and protocols;
Compliance to workplace health and safety requirements and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock;
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results;
Monitoring 3PLM transport company during the shift;
Ensuring compliance with company policies and established regulations; Health & Safety (H&S), and Environmental;
Pro-actively identifies health and safety risk and implement corrective action;
Ensure daily picking and pulling is done as per customer’s requirements;
Enforce strict adherence to the company’s internal work procedures;
Responsible for correct and optimized usage of all equipment, both electronically and manually operated;
Adhering to correct and safe stacking of parts in Distribution Centre;
Audit daily equipment inspections and action accordingly;
Optimize workforce based on workload and priorities; and

Ensuring that Cycle Counts are done as required.

Minimum Skills required

Relevant Supply Chain/ Operations degree or studying towards;
Must have at least 8 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment of which 3 years must have been occupying a leadership role;
In-depth knowledge of w arehousing principles and procedures;
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is required;
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite; and

Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Behavioural Competencies required

Must have good leadership skills and can communicate at all levels;
Must be deadline driven and customer orientated;
Must be resilient and takes responsibility for own actions and stays balanced under pressure; and

Must be willing to work nightshift
