Local media company (North Coast Courier) in Ballito on the KZN North Coast is looking for a dedicated media professional to oversee and implement its digital strategy across websites and social media platforms.

**Responsibilities include**:
Ensure that all websites and social media platforms are updated timeously and over weekends
Constantly liaise with newsroom on ideas and content
Identify breaking news stories, trends and videos appropriate for the website
Produce and shape high quality, accurate, engaging and accessible copy online
Engage with website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp audiences
Respond to all applicable online queries
Analyse site traffic, social media traffic and create and maintain targets
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic

**Required**:
Passion for news and online media
Journalism experience
Excellent communication and language skills
Strong computer skills
News production experience as a journalist and the ability to sub-edit content quickly and accurately
Good understanding of social media platforms and best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on tight deadlines
