Our client, a leading mineral processing company, is seeking a Demand and Inventory Controller to use the analytical, marketing, and sales data of the company to effectively estimate future product demands and make recommendations for inventory holding. Perform inventory audits and report on the health of the inventory including inventory turns, fill rate and obsolescence.
**Responsibilities**:
Planning inventory, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions.
Provide key inputs in Commodity Purchasing Strategy Formulation.
Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals.
Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts.
Work with sales team and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
Provide key inputs and advice on stock to managed by vendors and stock to be managed by company.
Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands.
Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.
Drive and manage Inventory reduction strategies and inventory optimization projects.
Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.
Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy.
Update visual performance of the supply chain team and facilitate root cause analysis and action plans.
Develop an inventory management system to maintain a healthy and consistent stock levels.
Ensuring Compliance to QMS standards.
**Generate SCM Monthly reports including but not limited to**: Supplier Spend; Spend on Contract; Total PO placed; Open & aging PO; Total inventory value; Total Active Inventory; Stock health.
Contribute to the development and implement Demand Planning Strategy aligned with Sales and Operations' Roadmap. You will work under the standards of quality, safety and industrial hygiene and good practices.
**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a demand planning/forecasting/ inventory controller role.
Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
Proficient in all Microsoft programs and Microsoft AX dynamics.
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Highly analytical
