Who are we?
Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam. What will you do?
**The Service Line Manager**: Messaging will form part of the End User Platform Services (EUPS) team, consisting of an End User Device Management division and a Collaboration Division. In this role, you will be responsible for the Strategy, Governance, User Experience, Administrative and Support processes for Messaging Services. What will make you successful in this role?
You will own, implement and drive the ongoing adoption and optimization of the Exchange Online, in support of the Sanlam Digital Experience at Work strategic theme.
You will own and maintain Exchange Platform, both Online and On-prem, including Policies, Principles, Standards, Processes and Procedures and Guidelines for all the relevant messaging products deployed within Sanlam.
You will own and manage the overall budget, expenses and recovery models for the related messaging products, including the Exchange Services/Security budgets and more, working closely with the Commercial manager and financial divisions within SGT.
You will be responsible to optimize administrative and support processes, automate requests and implement preventative maintenance processes, to ensure optimized performance and usage for all Sanlam staff. You will work closely with the SGT End User Support and Service Management teams, as well as supporting vendors, to align processes and ensure appropriate training and awareness programs are implemented.
You will drive ongoing migration from remaining On-premise infrastructure to cloud-based services. Qualification and Experience
**Qualifications**:
Relevant IT degree or diploma
Relevant Microsoft certifications
ITIL certification will be advantageous
Experience
A minimum of 5 years Microsoft Exchange Experience
A minimum of 5 years Microsoft Office 365 Experience
Understanding and experience with Exchange Platform.
Understanding and experience of End User Collaboration trends
Understanding of Microsoft License models and features related to Exchange
Create and maintain 3y technical roadmap for Messaging environment in alignment with budget and business requirements
Working with multiple business units and/or clients, understanding and setting priorities.
Rationalization and standardization of vendors and products.
Reporting and management of operational risks relevant to your area of responsibility.
Translating IT concepts into business terms and vice versa
Ability to constructively interact with technical and non-technical parties and vendors
