The purpose of this role is to deliver exceptional customer shopping experience through stock replenishment, merchandising, housekeeping and efficient processing of transactions at till points. **Responsibilities**
- Inform customers of current promotions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Maintain outstanding store condition.
- Maintain a fully stocked store.
- Recommend and display items that match customer needs.
- Welcome and greet customers.
- Actively involved in the receiving of new stock. Inputting invoices onto the system and printing respective shelf talkers.
- Keep up to date with product information.
- Accurately describe product features and benefits. Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
- Contributes to team effort and is accountable for all actions taken.
- Pleasantly deals with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- To be compliant at all times with all of the policies.
- Ensuring a positive and professional image is displayed.
- To actively participate in stock takes and take inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications (drugs on hand) and records results.
- Ensure pharmacy is always well arranged and clean.
- Always attend to customer first and treat customers with the highest priority when capturing invoices onto the system.
- Inform customers of current promotions. Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.
- Informing customers about the rewards programs, and store return policies.
- Perform routine price audits to ensure that pricing of all products is correct.
- Ensuring stock levels are well maintained.
- Providing customers with information on pricing and product availability.
- Arranging window displays.
- Handling customer complaints and concerns calmly or escalating complaints to management when necessary.
- To pack the stock/merchandise onto the shelves. To align the products onto the shelves so that stock is displayed neatly and tidily.
- To ensure every stock item always has a shelf talker clearly displaying the price of the stock item. No shelf talker must overlap any other shelf talker.
- Keep a watchful eye for theft or mishandling of merchandise and on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards.
- Provide assistance to the store manager in her/his day-to-day tasks.
- Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks.
- Must perform any other instruction from management that is within his/her capability.

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of retail experience
- Matric or Equivalent
- Clear Criminal record
- Microsoft - Computer Proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively.
