Urgently looking for a **Skilled** **Fitter and Turner**. The purpose of this job is to install, maintain, identify, and repair and attend to all mechanical problems in the workshop.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

- Execution of planned maintenance t
- Identification of potential faults and recommendation of remedial actions.
- Inspections on vehicles.
- Breakdown attendance and repairs of all vehicles.
- Installations, repairs, and maintenance should meet laid down standards.
- Identified and assigned projects must be carried out and deadlines met.
- Assisting with the installations of mechanical equipment when so required.
- Safety deviations and risks identified, recorded and corrective action within limits taken and reported to the relevant officials.
- Work in progress kept within designated areas.
- Accountable for own safety and safety of other workers by adhering to the laid down safety and health policy, procedures, and workplace requirements at all times.
- Maintenance and installation of pipe work and basic plumbing maintenance.

Cleaning of the work equipment, workplace daily to ensure clean, safe, and conducive work environment.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
**Knowledge and experience required**:

- Certificate in Fitting and Turning/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade papers.
- Previous diff and gearbox experience.
- Ability to follow recording procedures and problem-solving routines.
- Personal characteristics and other job requirements:

- Must have good interpersonal relations and be a team member.
- Physical ability to work shifts, lift heavy objects and to work extended hours when so required.
- Commitment to safe working practices.
- Take accountability for own actions and output.

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Germiston, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Excel: 10 years (required)
