Stock Controller

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
Controlling all stock movement of vehicle stock and all admin related to this. Parts stock control and admin related to this.

**Reports to**:
Dealership Bookkeeper/Dealer Principal

**Internal Team Interaction**:
(Information, support, advice): Across organization: exchange of information, advice, support, persuasion, negotiation.

**External Team Interaction**:
Dealers, suppliers, service providers, customers, support

1. **Vehicle Stock**
- Receive invoices and stocking of units from Head Office and Dealers
- Open a deal file for every unit in stock with the necessary documents
- Tagging of keys, units and packs
- Stocking and tagging of trade
- ins and buy-ins
- Conduct weekly stock counts

**2. Internal & External Communication**
- Receive Parts invoices
- Capture invoices after checking parts
- Conduct monthly parts stock take with parts team
- Spot checks on parts throughout the month

**3. Industry & Product Knowledge**
- Maintain a key register
- Maintain a pack register
- Maintain a Natis file register
- Maintain a demo register
- Dealer Stocking of trade-ins
- Follow-up on outstanding Natis from banks
- Co-Ordinate Licence and Registration process

**4. Administration**
- Do suppliers orders and capture invoices
- Ensure all reconditioning and extras are booked to a unit before invoicing.
- Ensure all invoices are given in to accounts department
- Ensure deal file is complete as per checklist prior to invoicing
- Accurate invoicing
- Check that the profit on a deal corresponds with the costing approved by management
- Ensure the correct documents are obtained e.g., Natis
- Monthly deal file audit

Minimum Qualifications to Perform Role:

- Grade 12 Preferred Qualification
- Minimum Period of Experience/ Training (Describe Typical Experience Background)
- Must have stock control experience at a Motor Dealership
- 3+ years’ work experience within the automotive industry
- Dealership accounting software experience. Preferred Experiential/ Training Background
- Exposure to import and distribution, marketing, franchise retail or similar industry experience.
- Note: Above average computer literacy on common commercial and communication packages

**Salary**: R100,000.00 - R144,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- within the automotive industry: 3 years (required)
- stock control experience at a Motor Dealership: 2 years (required)
- Dealership accounting software: 2 years (required)
