**Company**

South African owned company in the manufacturing and engineering industry that offers advanced engineering solutions to the coal mining industry

**Purpose**

Responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects

**Responsibilities**:

- Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
- Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
- Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
- Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements
- Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager

**Experience Requirements**:

- 5 years’ experience
- Understanding of QMS: ISO 9001/NCR’s and 45001
- **Basic knowledge of NDT methods, Casting, forgings, fabricated and machined parts**
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Ability to use Mechanical measuring instruments (inside/outside mic, gauges, etc.)
- Work under pressure & accuracy
- Completion of records
- Computer literate an added advantage
- Toolbox talks
- Quality awareness

- Good leadership skills

**Qualifications**
- Matric with Basic Quality Control Certificate
- Flameproof certificate an advantage

**Salary**: R13,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Boksburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- quality inspection: 5 years (required)
- NDT methods, Casting, forgings: 1 year (required)
- QMS: ISO 9001/NCR’s and 45001: 1 year (required)
