**Job Purpose**:
To support the internal audit department in the achievement of the Sea Harvest internal audit plans. This will be achieved by the execution of internal audits and the conducting of other governance and risk related assurance and consulting activities throughout the Sea Harvest Group. Planning and execution of internal audit work within given time constraints. Regular interaction with Management and lower level staff to maintain a continuous internal audit presence.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Duties include but will not be limited to:

- Plan and execute risk-based internal audits
- Provide a consulting service to clients
- Draft audit reports and present final findings to the client
- Provide on the job coaching to internal auditors and trainees
- Supervision of internal audit teams on multiple audits
- Manage the delivery of each assignment in line with scope and limitations
- Support the business in championing strategic business roles
- Manage a portfolio of clients
- Build and maintain client relationships

**Requirements**:

- BCom/BTech degree with relevant internal audit qualification
- CIA advantageous
- Honours degree in Internal Audit advantageous
- Exposure to IA software tools advantageous
- At least 5 years’ experience in a consulting role in governance, risk and compliance, of which 2 years’ must be in a senior auditor or supervisor role

**Skills & Attributes**:

- CIA/ or studying towards
- A thorough knowledge of IIA standards and best practices
- Exposure to JSE financial reporting controls auditing requirements
- Knowledge of internal audit software tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of risk management, corporate governance concepts, key controls identification, business process models
- FMCG/ Fishing/ Agriculture abilities
- Report on control deficiencies to management and make recommendations to mitigate risk and add value
- Continuous monitoring and management of findings database
- Assist in the compilation of Internal Audit reports for Audit & Risk Committee
- Attend and present to Audit & Risk Committee
- Review current processes across the Group and identify opportunities for refinement
- Conduct ad-hoc investigations into identified or reported risks
- Be approachable and available to staff and to management
- Encourage a teamwork environment
- Must have experience in supervision and training of junior staff members
- Ensure that the Audit Programme/s is/are reviewed and signed-off by the manager/director
- Ensure that system descriptions and related control mapping is complete and signed off prior to commencement of the audit.
- Execution of the Engagement
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Valid Drivers License.
