Staff Nurse

Our client, a retirement home in the Helderberg area, has an opportunity for a **Registered Staff Nurse **to join their team.

The position involves the full spectrum of geriatric care for the elderly in the retirement home and in the frail care unit.

**Requirements**:

- Must be a registered Staff Nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council.
- At least 5 years’ experience of elderly care, as recently as 6 months’ ago.
- Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to medication rounds.
- Good wound care knowledge and skills.
- Infection control experience, specifically with regards to Covid 19 regulations within the elderly care environment.
- Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency in writing reports.
- Must be a strong leader.
- Must have relevant experience with regards to the management of geriatric conditions.
- Must be willing to work shifts that include day and night shifts, and weekends.
- Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Area: Helderberg area - Strand / Somerset West.

Salary offered: ±R18 000 per month - depending on qualifications and experience.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
