**Description**:
A Procurement Specialist acquires a company’s various supplies. Their main duties include locating key suppliers, negotiating the company’s purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and products meet the company’s specifications. This person will also be involved in special procurement projects throughout the group including involvement of opening of new hotels.

**Requirements**:

- Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management advantageous
- Proven previous experience as a Procurement Specialist, minimum of 4 years.
- Good knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
- Strong experience in dealing with suppliers on all levels
- Proven track record of implementing procurement best practices e.g SLAs, Terms, Pricing
- SKU and Inventory Management experience
- Procurement software experience on in-depth level
- Additional Account background would be advantageous
- Experience in implementing Standard Operation Procedures
- Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building
- Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
- Project management: the Procurement Specialist will often manage multiple projects at one time
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to travel to hotels, vendors and suppliers as necessary
- Honest and trustworthy beyond approach
- Great attention to detail
- Presentable and well spoken
- Team Player who leads by example
- Ability to remain highly confidential and be able to treat sensitive information with the highest level of diplomacy

**Salary**: R33,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sandton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Procurement: 4 years (preferred)
