**purpose**:
To evaluate, manage and approve credit risk within the Medium Corporate segment by providing advice and support through the implementation of group credit mandates, risk frameworks and methodologies.
**experience and qualifications**:
- Minimum Qualification : Relevant Post Graduate in Finance
- Preferred Qualification : CA (SA)/CFA
- Experience : 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior (entry level) management level
- **additional requirements**:
- Travel to attend client meetings where required.
- Participate and influence the credit discussions or committees where required.
- Review credit papers.
- Assist with credit systems updates forming part of the credit origination process.
- Assist to interrogate financial modeling for transactions where necessary.
- Present at credit committees and credit forums and influence conversations in line with strategy, policy and guidelines.
- Attend Pre-screens and give guidance at the origination stage.
- Attend Provincial Credit Committee meetings and Commercial Credit Committee meetings; idea would be to dovetail with Credit Head Agriculture to ensure greater agricultural influence where meetings overlap, or capacity constraints occur.
Portfolio Management support:
- Support with additional analysis and assessment of portfolio trends where required.
- Support product house system development and data enhancement initiatives.
- Support and drive portfolio deep dives to amongst other assess incident/risk management.
Other responsibilities: Develop sound and professional working relationships with:
- Regional and Provincial Credit Heads
- RMB and Rest of Africa team
- Agri Specialists
