Scrum Master

The Scrum master will be the facilitator for a product development team that uses scrum/agile as the development methodology. The scrum master will lead a team that ensures self-organisation and the ability to make changes quickly. The role will ensure that agile principles and concept are adhered to ensure effective preparation of the product backlog and sprint backlog.
- Facilitate Spring Planning, Sprint reviews, Retrospectives to ensure they are effective, time-boxed, actions are closed out etc.
- Ensuring Scrum artefacts are maintained and updated regularly
- Identify and address obstacles or impediments that hinder the team’s progress.
- Track the teams progress toward sprint goals and overall objectives, using measurable metrics.
- Effectively communicate to project manager/delivery manager about the progress as well as blockages in the on-going sprints.
- Ensuring all change governance and standards are adhered to foster a collaborative and transparent environment within the team, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Coach team members and Product Owners on Kanban & Flow Management
- Gather and share relevant metrics and key performance indicators with the team. Throughput, Cycle time, WIP, event impacts etc.
- Act as liaison between the team and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
