**About the role**

Reporting to the **group CTO**, the group enterprise architect will design, update and/or maintain the group’s digital and enterprise architecture. Key to this role will be ensuring that the business has the appropriate technical provision and capability across the enterprise, to ensure system and business stability, aid in stable digital transformation and the accomplishment of business goals that touch on system and enterprise architecture. Further, the enterprise architect will ensure that technical solutions meet industry standards and market trends.

The Senior Enterprise Architect will play a significant role in the definition, implementation and governance of all
- inclusive enterprise guiding principles, standards, reference architectures and patterns, while building a comprehensive view and roadmap of the technology strategy. They will utilise existing system platforms and maintain the standard integration patterns during the process of deployment of new technologies in response to business requirements.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Strategic leadership_
- Lead in development and implementation of an effective IT Strategy and roadmap and prioritise and promote innovation in support of the organizational goals, objectives and strategic requirements.
- Ensure senior stakeholders understand the Roadmap and any associated risks, benefits and assumptions.
- Lead in the development of a holistic viewpoint of all technology in the enterprise (Enterprise Architecture Strategy) by using an Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework as guideline.
- Introduce and accelerate new technologies and methodologies to support digital transformation
- Analyses the current Business and IT environment to detect deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement.

- Develop EA acceptance criteria for projects to meet
- Liaise with the organisation‘s business units to address business requirements and translate these into the current architecture to ensure that all project implementation aligns with the IT strategy and roadmap
- Provide consultancy and support to business units in identifying and implementing technical capabilities that meet the business needs.
- Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies of existing IT services, by following the Agile methodology of Develop, Test, Release, Feedback & Improve.
- Retain seamless and cost-effective integration patterns
- Ensures proposed solutions present value for money and are appropriately costed.
- Define and administer overall testing standards and outcomes
- Governance_
- Define, model and maintain business and technology capability frameworks.
- Define, model and maintain reference architecture frame of reference to facilitate seamless interaction between different architecture domains and groups.
- Maintain appropriate alignment with the information security architecture and principles from all business units
- Propose architectural enhancements to realise security, agility, performance and cost effectiveness.
- Identify appropriate methodologies, best practices and create standards & guidelines.
- Maintain the documentation and all architectural blueprints.
- Ensure that optimal EA governance structure and compliance processes are embedded.
- Lead and manage governance frameworks and forums.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Min.10 yrs. experience in ICT experience gained in designing and developing contact centre solutions (specifically recoveries would be an added advantage)
- Min. 7 years as a lead Solution Manager/(Functional) Systems Architect with previous experience in advising client/s of the best Systems Roadmaps and delivering on proposed Roadmap.
- Ability to facilitate and document requirements.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders

**Education and Certifications**:

- At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management or related field
- Masters degree or an MBA an added advantage
- Enterprise Architecture certifications
