**What does a VFX Artist do at Hogarth?** We are seeking a talented and versatile VFX Artist to join our dynamic post-production team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and transforming visual content for a diverse portfolio of global brands. You will work on a wide range of projects, from high-end commercials and digital campaigns to corporate videos and social media content, ensuring the highest standards of visual fidelity and creative execution.

**Requirements**:

- **VFX Execution**: Perform a variety of visual effects tasks including, but not limited to:

- Compositing (2D/3D)
- Rotoscoping and Keying (Chroma Key, Luma Key)
- Tracking (2D/3D)
- Clean-up (wire removal, rig removal, dust busting, beauty work)
- Plate preparation and enhancement
- Matte painting integration
- Basic 3D integration (e.g., motion graphics elements, product replacement)
- Color correction and grading for VFX elements
- Generative AI integration (where applicable and approved)
- **Creative Problem Solving**: Collaborate with directors, editors, producers, and other artists to understand project requirements and creatively solve visual challenges.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure all VFX work meets the highest technical and aesthetic standards, maintaining consistency across projects and adhering to brand guidelines.
- **Workflow Management**: Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and communicate progress clearly.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-standard VFX software, tools, and techniques.
- **Collaboration & Communication**: Work closely within a team environment, providing and receiving constructive feedback. Clearly communicate technical issues and solutions to non-technical team members.
- **Asset Management**: Organize and manage project files, assets, and versions efficiently.
- **Adaptation & Localization**: Understand the nuances of adapting VFX for different markets and platforms, including varying aspect ratios, resolutions, and cultural sensitivities.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- **2-4+ years of professional experience** as a VFX Artist in a post-production house, advertising agency, or similar creative environment.
- **Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software**:

- **Nuke (essential)**:

- Adobe After Effects (strong proficiency)
- Mocha Pro (strong proficiency)
- Photoshop (strong proficiency for matte painting, clean-up)
- **Solid understanding of compositing principles**: color theory, light, perspective, and photographic realism.
- **Strong eye for detail** and a commitment to delivering high-quality, polished work.
- **Excellent problem-solving abilities** and a proactive approach to challenges.
- **Ability to work efficiently under pressure** and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
