Bakery Supervisor

As a bakery supervisor you have a very important job in our bakery. You are one of the bakery leaders and are responsible for the smooth running of the bakery and ensuring our customers are getting the best possible quality products. You are responsible for the daily operations of the bakery and ensuring compliance to Ou Meul standards of perfection in all areas: prep, sculler, cleaning, refuse, storage, staff management. List of responsibilities and duties including, but not limited to: Full knowledge of all our products, recipes and ingredients Detailed knowledge of company roots Excellent knowledge of recipes and procedures Ensure compliance of all checklists and procedures Ensure compliance of all hygiene procedures Excellent knowledge of health and safety Excellent knowledge on how to control waste Ensuring stock is checked, signed and stored timeously Ensuring first aid procedures are adhered to Ensure equipment is managed properly and that all equipment has a record of usage Ensuring the bakery is kept clean and tidy Full knowledge of production procedures Ensure all invoices are captured Ensure accident or relevant incidents are reported to management Ensure the correct recipes and procedures are followed Ensure equipment is serviced and operational The ability to run variance and wastage reports and come up with action plans accordingly Daily planning and delegating to members of the bakery team Full knowledge of ordering procedures that include daily and weekly PAR levels Ensure the staff on shift are aware of their duties, responsibilities and that these duties are completed timeously, efficiently and correctly. Issues are to be dealt with quickly and effectively, keeping in mind always the importance of customer satisfaction Have a good idea of how rosters work in order to have staff perform specific duties effectively, if there is need to draw up a roster Stock take procedures must be completely understood and carried out correctly. Manage and rotate stock to preserve freshness as far as possible
