Duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible for management of the Planning Department for two manufacturing unit.
- Manage and develop planning staff.
- Analysing data and developing strategies or policies for improvement supply chain performance.
- Training, motivating, coaching, and correcting employees to ensure that standards are met.
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure they meet the required needs of the business.
- Using MPS/SOP techniques to manage inventory and product availability for the business.
- Producing and monitoring production plans in line with resources available and demand requirements.
- Hires and trains planning staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

Minimum requirements:

- 3 years’ experience in related field required in a supervisory/management supply chain role within a high-volume manufacture environment
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Industrial/ Production Management
- Experience in driving forward improved planning and MPS using a complex ERP system (SAP).
- Technical proficiency must be able to use computers and generate reports.
- Ability to analyse data and create and review processes.
- A desire to help others achieve their best and a willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.
- Experienced in delivery on major projects.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R16,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
