Role Purpose

Lead agile software engineering teams to deliver quality software that meets business requirements according to best practices for our client facing platforms (Web & Mobile).
Requirements

IT Degree
10 years of IT solution delivery
Exposure to Agile Development environment, system development in an analyst developer role
Experience in the Insurance industry with good general knowledge of underlying IT architectures and technologies
Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders regarding the implementation of solutions according to best practices and industry trends.
Manage the overall design, implementation and functioning of solutions in line with business requirements.
Guide teams in addressing technical and delivery challenges by adopting scalable and resilient solutions that align with industry standards.
Provide hands-on guidance to teams with an emphasis on strong layering and isolation practices and effective test strategies.
Remain abreast of modern software engineering trends and ensure continuous evolution.
Source, interview, hire and retain engineering talent.
Conduct individual performance reviews of software engineers.
Maintain a culture of continuous learning.

**Technical skills**:
Understand delivery infrastructure buildout (e.g., CI, deployment orchestration, observability, and A/B test infrastructure)

Java technologies and frameworks
Knowledge of Front-End frameworks for web and Mobile
