**Overview**:
3-month fixed-term contract, based in the Planning and Development Department of an East London based SOE. The role reports in to the Executive Manager: Planning and Development.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree/ BTech Degree in Built Environment or Equivalent NQF 7 Qualification.
- Formal Qualification in Project Management
- Professional Registration either as Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech Eng.) with ECSA
- Registered as Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr. CPM) with SACPCMP
- 8+ years in a managerial role, within a project management environment

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee specialist consultants by technical briefings and overseeing of technical designs, drawings, specifications and tender documentation to ensure that projects are designed according to operational requirements
- Oversee Contractual Compliance in all projects by ensuring adherence to the organisation's Policies and Procedures
- Staff Management
- Administer engineering services and construction contracts
- Carry out reasonable and lawful instructions as given by the line manager/supervisor within the ambit of the position taking into consideration competencies and operational requirements.

**Competencies**:

- Computer literacy
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- In-depth knowledge of the OHS Act, Environmental Act, PFMA
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Processes
- Good knowledge of working in a political environment
- Good overall knowledge of the water industry
- Sound financial management skills
