**A new, exciting opportunity for an experienced, senior Womenswear Buying Manager is available with this leading High Fashion e-tailer. You will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with leaders in their field. Your primary accountability is to build and manage the strategy for the private label using historical data, trend and market analytics as well as knowledge of the SA fashion business, targeted to the young South African millennial consumer that will deliver and/or exceed all KPI’s. This is a BEE opportunity.**

**_Job Description_**
- Ensure the customer is at the heart of everything that we do.
- Be accountable for delivery to all KPI’s including sales, margin and stock targets.
- Through in-depth market and data analysis, as well as experience in the local/ international Womenswear apparel market, create a strategy that brings the world’s best product to customers exclusively and at the right price to drive continued profitable sales growth.
- Be the first to market through monitoring of global and local trends.
- Manage your team to ensure effective delivery to all strategic intents.
- Partner with the team to ensure that private label merchandise delivers to retail strategy against pricing, margin and assortment.
- Negotiate preferential trading terms with local and international suppliers.
- Be accountable for securing and managing key accounts and maintain strong working relationships to negotiate best price, great value offers and exclusive stock.
- Partner with the Planners to jointly analyse the data, identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Lead by example through coaching, mentoring and directing a team of Buyers to create a culture that lives the company’s values.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver a world class customer experience through all platforms of engagement including, web content, marketing, social and customer support.
- Manage critical path and partner with the logistics team to ensure on time and accurate delivery of stock.
- Motivate and develop your team, while ensuring appropriate succession planning.

**_Key Requirements_**
- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Marketing, Design, B.Sc or B.Comm.
- 8+ years’ experience in retail with experience in Womenswear is essential.
- 2+ years managerial experience in retail and/or e-commerce environment.
- Proven experience managing a medium-sized team.
- Competency in MS Office packages specifically in Excel.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Retail Maths.
- Proven ability in analytics & logical interpretation of data.
- Strong private label experience in Womenswear apparel.
- Be a strong communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence.
- Attention to detail, systematic and process driven.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Sound leadership, coaching and mentoring skills coaching and mentoring skills.
