Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team as a Bookkeeper and HR Administrator. This dual-role position is integral to ensuring the smooth running of the company by maintaining accurate financial records and overseeing HR policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Bookkeeping and Financial Duties
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with tax regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating employee deductions and benefits.
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting as needed.
- Manage petty cash and ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities when necessary.
- HR Administration and Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company HR policies.
- Oversee employee onboarding, contracts, and documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to align with company goals.
- Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and employee disputes effectively.
- Support the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance reviews.
- Operational Oversight
- Ensure company policies and processes are upheld across all departments.
- Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions for smoother operations
- Act as a liaison between management and employees, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
**Requirements**:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and HR administration.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero) and payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of VAT compliance and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
