**New Opportunity Available Our well known client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Shift Supervisor to join their dynamic team in East London.**

***
- **To administer the manufacturing discipline in the Mouldshop to ensure timing and Quality performance**
***:

- **Accountable to the Production Manager for effective operation of areas under his control**
***:

- **Control pattern production by adhering to rules/ system.**
***:

- **Ensure that only trained operators are used for Operators-ensure that his/her operators are multi skilled**
***:

- **Ensure that labour is utilized efficiently to minimize machine downtimes.**
***:

- **To minimize material downtime**
***:

- **Machine set correctly and operating at planning and cycle times. Correct dunnage and available and used all the time.**
***:

- **Manage time keeping and attendance of team members.**
***:

- **Ensure shift handover takes place without stopping of machines**
***:

- **Timeous arrival at work and knock off times**
***:

- **Tea breaks - staggered tea breaks and operator relief. (Toilet and tea breaks)**
***:

- **Ensure that all quality procedures are adhered to:

- **
***:

- **First Offs and last Offs on tools**
***:

- **Scrap analysis( 2% document)**
***:

- **Marked up samples are used for quality checks (limit samples)**
***:

- **Monitoring and adhering to the quality system.**
***:

- **In process cooling jigs and fixtures used**
***:

- **Monitor tool change over time is within targets and report problems to Manager.**
***:

- **Ensure machines are available for maintenance.**
***:

- **Check the Delinquent Board and act accordingly.**
***:

- **Housekeeping, Environmental and Safety is maintained**
***:

- **Maintain 5 S’s
- Workstations, machines, moulds, factory floor and all parts of the factory must tidy and clean at all times.**
***:

- **Ensure compliance to Company Environmental Policy**
***:

- **Ensure compliance to safety standard and team PPE**
***:

- **Good Knowledge of Injection Moulding Process**
***:

- **Knowledge of functionality of injection moulding tools**
***:

- **Knowledge of the startup and shut down process of an Injection Moulding plant**
***:

- **Have a good understanding of materials knowledge of processing parameters and settings**
***:

- **Know how to resolve any Quality related part problems which vary from the boundary sample**
***:

- **Attend to and resolve any non-conformance related to Quality**
***:

- **Carry out escalation procedure when M/C or Tool problem occurs**
***

**Job Requirements**:
***
- **Matric**
***:

- **ND in Production Management or equivalent NQF 5 qualification**
***:

- **5 years in production environment with unionised workforce**
***:

- **Sound knowledge of the Kanban system and injection moulding experience are a must**
