**Introduction**:
**Job description**:

- Effective supervision of the diamond drilling crews
- Effective planning, leading, organising, and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets
- Conduct and participate in morning meetings and complete the relevant checklists, risk/safety documents as required.
- Conduct over inspection of diamond drilling equipment, relevant checklists and daily documentation for production and safety requirements.
- Effective and timeous communication to relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows pertaining to diamond drill, sites, layouts and client requirements with regards to cover and core recovery
- Conduct legal inspections timeously.
- Self and team understand and comply with M&RC’s standards, procedures, polices and safety protocols.
- Effective self and team supervision in alignment with M&RC’s values

**Minimum requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Diamond Drill Operator Technical Skills Certificate or similar
- Blasting Certificate advantageous
- License to Supervise or similar supervisory course
- Competent A & B
- Computer literate, ability to complete online training courses
- MS Office Proficient [Word, Excel] advantageous

- At least 3 years of experience as a Diamond Drill Operator in a mining environment
- Experience in maintenance of diamond drill required
- Knowledge of Diamond Drill operations, equipment and methods
