**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Description of the job**

As an electrical or I&C technician (M/F/d), you will independently operate and monitor the operating systems of the electrical and I&C operations area in accordance with largely defined specifications, instructions and operating regulations and act independently within the scope of the issued work instructions. Furthermore, you will carry out the control and operation of all plant complexes of the electrical and instrumentation and control plant assigned according to the task organization and carry out switching operations according to instructions. The assignment takes place in a fully continuous alternating shift system with early, late, night and free shifts.

**Other activities**
- Performing actions according to established specifications necessary to maintain operations or avert hazards.
- Reporting deficiencies and abnormalities as they occur in accordance with operational responsibilities
- Carrying out work to eliminate operational faults in the respective plant area
- Carrying out tasks to clarify the causes of faults and damage in electrical and I&C systems in accordance with specified requirements
- Carrying out work during the decommissioning and commissioning of repaired or temporarily shutdown plants.

**Must have Skills**

You have successfully completed industrial-technical vocational training in the field of electrical engineering or control technology and have initial professional experience in a corresponding field. It would be an advantage if you already have the necessary approvals and/or switching authorizations for plants in the power plant. You are willing to qualify in order to obtain the approval tests for all plants of the assigned power plant area. A completed training as a state-certified power plant technician ideally complements your qualification profile.
