We are looking for a friendly and customer focused Pet Store Manager who is passionate about pet welfare to join our Durban Store. The incumbent will be responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for our customers and ensuring the smooth day to day operations of the store.

**Responsibilities**:

- Thorough knowledge of Pet products such as pet food, pet grooming, pet first aid care, pet essentials and pet accessories.
- Liaising with suppliers on acquiring the best deals to secure stock
- Set & achieve sale targets and key performance indicators.
- Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and restocking supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize shortages and overstock situations.
- Ensure store layout & displays are visually appealing
- Create eye catching product displays
- Supervise, Train and motivate a team of sales staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and are knowledgeable about our products.
- Greet and assist customers, addressing their pet related needs and enquiries.
- Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by providing guidance and expert advice on pet care and product selection.
- Handle customer feedback and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness & organisation of the store, including pet care areas.
- Enforce safety & sanitation protocols, especially in pet care areas.
- Perform routine inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues

Qualifications Required:

- 2 years’ experience in retail management, preferably in a pet shop or related industry.
- Passion for animals and a genuine interest in pet care and well-being.
- Proficiency in sales and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
